Whether you’re already in a relationship or you’re looking out for your beau to be, it is a lovely time to fall in love. The colder weather makes it so easy to snuggle up to a loved one and settled down with some Netflix. I think it’s good to get out of the house though and experience the season changing with someone special.
- Keep it classic and classy
I want to start off with an oldie but a goodie. When the weather is a little bit cooler there’s nothing better than some sweet and simple fun. A night at the movies or a bowling date always feels so innocent and youthful…and there’s nothing wrong with feeling like a teenager again! A stop off at the ice-cream parlour after will surely make you both smile too.
- Cook up a feast together
They say that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. I’ll let you into a secret – it’s the way to my heart too! There’s nothing sexier than a guy that can rustle up a feast in the kitchen. Cooking is especially cute when you’re doing it together so get your aprons on and cook a meal together. And if you have a craving for something sweet, why not roast some marshmallows and make S’mores! Everyone loves a S’more in the cold weather.
- Go for cocktails
It’s always nice to pick out one of your favourite dresses and go for cocktails in a fancy establishment. One of my favourite things to do, when I am getting all dressed up for a date, is to do my make-up especially pretty and curl my hair. One of the added bonuses of going out for drinks is that the guy will get dressed-up too. If you and your other half live together and share household chores, this might be an unusual treat!
- Go on a daytime date
This could sound really boring but bear with me. Just imagine, you’re both all dressed up in your favourite sweaters and drinking hot cocoa in your favourite diner. And that’s just for breakfast! There’s something so lovely and romantic about kicking the fall leaves together. One of my favourite things to do it to go to the bookshop on a date – it’s just so cute! It also gives me a chance to pull on my best winter boots too.
- Go to see a football game
Now, you might not be a football lover but when the temperature is cool getting cosy with someone to watch sports is actually super cute. Make sure you go to see something that you’ll both enjoy and a hot dog at half-time is sure to make you both smile! Who knows, he might even give you his jacket to help keep you warm too.
The most important thing when you’re dating is to just be yourself. If it’s a first date just try to stay relaxed and arrange to do something that won’t make you feel uncomfortable. Enjoy it and have fun!
