Tamara Nicole South was born June 28, 1981 in Bronx, NY. She lost her mother at the age of six from A.I.D.S and her father at the age of thirteen from substance abuse. Currently, Tamara resides in Bronx, NY with her daughter son and husband.
She enjoys blogging, writing poetry, singing, crocheting, bowling and meeting new people. Tamara lost both of her parents by the time she was thirteen and is a suicide survivor, she seeks to help others overcome the bereavement of parents and suicide prevention. She also wants to help young girls discover their hidden beauty in Christ.
Tamara received her undergraduate degree in Human Development from Binghamton University and received her Master’s degree as a graduate assistant in Sociology of Education from New York University. She is an active member in her church. She is the Bronx chapter president of the Anti Suicide Jesus is the Answer Campaign.
She is the author of a book called Healing From Within which talks about her inner struggles and how God delivered her and her poetic workings.
