Picking up the Pieces: 5 Ways You Can Try to Save Your Marriage from Falling Apart

It can be a horrible and daunting realization when you come to a point where the concept or idea of your marriage not working turns out to be more real than you allowed yourself to believe. Unfortunately, this is just the way life is.
However, that doesn’t mean you should always give up and stop trying. Instead, there are things you can do to try and pull your marriage back and reignite that spark. Today, we’re going to explore five things you might want to consider.

1 – Remember Why You Fell in Love
The best step you can take is thinking back to why you and your partner fell in love with each other in first place. There would have been a spark or a reason you feel the way you do, or something about your partner you adore.
The best way to rekindle your marriage is to remember this passion. Daily life is full of stress and worries which make it easy to forget this thing but remembering it mindfully can be a great way to bring back the love.

2 – Listen to Each Other
One of the most common reasons a relationship falls apart is because you’re failing to listen to each other. So many couples get to a point where they listen to each other, but they don’t actually listen. This means, in situations like arguments, you listen, but you’re already waiting with your counterpoint. This is how you end up falling apart because you’re not actually considering each other and how you feel, but instead trying to win points or prove you’re better. Address this by listening thoroughly.

3 – Try to Find the ‘Why’
Just like there was a reason you fell in love in the first place, there’s a reason, or several reasons, you’ve fallen out of love. Be being mindful of the problems you have, not just at a surface level, but actually on what the core of your issues is, you can help to resolve it. Work together to find the problems, talk about them and look for solutions and think about why things have ended up this way. A long, open, and honest talk can do wondrous things when it comes to exploring how you
    both feel and why.

4 – Be Aligned through the Chaos
Life can be overwhelming and stressful at times, and it’s easy to lose focus. Whether you’re going through a consistently bad time, or you’ve been through an emergency crisis, you need to make sure you’re aligning both your wants and needs and your partners. Be a team.

5 – Be Civil and Accepting
Although a painful truth, sometimes a marriage just isn’t right for the people involved. However, instead of everything blowing up and falling apart, a change in attitude can make a huge difference when it comes to finding common ground and moving forward. Be civil of the decisions that you and your other half are making and accept that this is how things are and it’s for the better. You may want to use a legal service to help to keep things moving properly. You can read more

    Summary
As you can see, there are lots of ways you can start to change and piece back together your marriage. However, each relationship is different, and what works for someone else, might not work for you, so make sure you’re being open to new opportunities and approaches. Keep an open mind.

    Getting Help With A Divorce

Going through a divorce is always going to be one of the most disheartening situations you can be in, and it is the kind of thing that usually requires some kind of help and assistance from others. Going it alone is unlikely to get you very fair, and you will probably only become more and more upset as a result of approaching things in this way. As it happens, the help that you will need is always going to be there as long as you know how to look for it, and that is important to remember if you are keen on ensuring you can get through the situation in tact. In this post, we are going to take a look at the kinds of help you might want to seek out, and how to make sure that you’re actually seeking it when you need it. That should help you to get through the situation you are currently in without too much trouble.

    Legal Help

Sometimes all you really need is someone to help you with some of the legal side of things, which can often be about the most confusing and troublesome side of things there are. It might be for instance that you are needing to think about the custody of your children – likely a huge concern if you are getting divorced and you have kids – and probably you will want to make sure you are in the best position possible to hopefully keep fair custody of your children. Having the right help in the form of lawyers and child support can absolutely make a huge difference here, so make sure that you seek that out as best as you can. You will find it really does make all the difference to how the situation pans out.

    Friends

Sometimes it is much more about just having the support you need from your friends, and when that is the case you should not be afraid to ask for it. If you have the kind of friends you need, they will likely be happy to support you as you need them to when you need them to, so this is something to be glad of and to make use of if that is the case. Your friends will help you to emotionally understand the situation that is going on, and will be likely to offer you the kind of emotional support which you need to actually get through the situation, so it is important to make sure that you are making use of that kind of assistance as best as you can and wherever necessary.

    Counsellor

It is very common for those going through a divorce to need some form of counselling, and if you feel that you might benefit from that, then you should not delay in finding one who you are likely to be able to get use out of. The right counsellor can help you to get through your divorce much more easily, and it will mean that you can actually understand what is going on much more thoroughly and easily as a result too. Make sure you are getting this kind of help should you need it, and that you don’t simply overlook your own mental health or mark it off as unimportant.

Is There Such a Thing as a Positive Divorce?

If you have recently been in contact with a law firm like Peters May – Specialist Divorce and Family lawyers in Mayfair, London and are about to enter divorce proceedings, you might be wondering how you can make this divorce as quick and painless as it can be. When both parties are looking to get things done quickly and no one is making demands that are regarded as unreasonable by the other person, it is possible to split in a smoother way. But can we really call this a positive divorce?

Sometimes, Separating Can be Best for Everyone Involved

It’s not always a good idea to persist with a relationship that both people feel has run its course. In fact, it can be sometimes be very damaging to the people involved if you take that route forward. You will only make your own life more difficult and stop you from living the life you want to live. Sometimes, it’s just best for everyone to accept that it’s over and move on for the good of everyone.

Uncontested Divorces Are Always Less Bitter

If you decide to go through an uncontested divorce, it should be a lot less bitter than a contested one. It means that you’re able to keep things calm and avoid the arguing that we so often associated with divorces. If you both agree that this is the best kind of divorce for you, it could really help to keep things how they should be and avoid nastiness taking hold.

Where Kids Are Involved, A Smooth Separation is Preferable

When you have kids to think about a smooth separation is definitely what everyone should be working towards. You’re only going to make life more difficult for your child if you put them through a drawn out row between their parents. So if positive divorces do exist, they often take place because both of the people involved see that the child they share is what’s most important. It’s the right way to handle a difficult situation. One way to make things smoother is to get a lawyer who can help you with any problems. There are loads of different lawyers that you could use depending on your situation. For example, you might decide that it’s best to use a men’s divorce lawyer (as sometimes Men find it harder to get custody of the children, as women have traditionally been more favored in that role).

Things Can Still Get a Little Messy

Even when both of the people involved have committed to dealing with the divorce in a productive and respectful way, things can sometimes still get a little messy at times. That’s just the way divorces often go. You should be prepared for minor arguments and points of contention because even the most positive and clean divorces aren’t entirely clean or positive. You can and should try to make them as clean as they possibly can be though.

Feelings Will Always Get in the Way to Some Extent

Feelings are messy, and there are plenty of feelings floating around when you’re getting divorced. These can often get in the way and prevent a smooth and positive divorce from playing out, so you need to do what you can to keep those feelings in check.

There definitely is such a thing as a positive divorce, especially when you look at how messy and nasty some divorces can get. But you should never underestimate the pain that comes with splitting from someone who you thought you would spend the rest of your life with at one point.

    Review: Mazda MX-5 Grand Touring

Thanks to Mazda I was provided the 2019 Mazda MX-5 Grand Touring to test drive. As always, all opinions are my own.

Last month me and my husband celebrated our eleven year anniversary. We didn’t leave NYC we stayed local and decided to make it a date night. To celebrate we got to test out the 2019 Mazda Miata Grand Touring model. My husband wondered if we would be installing a supercharger, of course I declined that offer. This car is kid free proof, even though they wanted to come but it’s only a 2 seater (sorry kids). My 7 year old son said Mommy why drive such a small car like this. Because the car is so small it takes some getting use to but once you get over how everything around you is so big it’s smooth sailing.

We went to the Hip Hop Restaurant Beatstro which is a great restaurant for comfort food with a hip hop vibe (so glad we no longer have to travel to Manhattan for great food).

What makes this car so special that my husband loves is the sports car feel and the retractable rooftop. We took the car around the Bronx and received many compliments.

    Some of the specs include:
