Chris Tomlin Holy Roar CD Review

I received a copy of Chris Tomlin new album “Holy Roar” in exchange for my honest opinion.

While I have heard of Chris Tomlin this is my first time actually listening to him I am in love with his new album Holy Roar it sends you into worship. There is not one song that I did not like.

    About Chris Tomlin

Chris Tomlin is one of the most heralded singer-songwriters in the world who has amassed an impressive body of work. He has sold more than 8 million albums, 11.3 million digital tracks with 19 #1 singles. Chris is one of only four artists ever to receive the Sound Exchange Digital Radio Award for over 1 billion digital radio streams, others include Justin Timberlake, Pitbull and Garth Brooks. The Grammy winners list of music include an American Music Award, 3 Billboard music Awards, 21 Dove Awards include a BMI Songwriter of the Year Award and More. Chris concert tours have sold-out Forum in Los Angeles, Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena and Red Rocks in Denver, among others, This spring, Chris marked another career milestone by launching his own imprint record label, Bowyer, in partnership with Capitol Christian Music Group.

The Holy Roar seeks to have people experience freedom, the wonder of worship. It is seeing the church come together, hands lifted to God, pouring out our praise with an eternal song in our hearts. It’s every voice together the way we worship.

You will not be disappointed with this album pre-order the album

Dispelling the Myths Behind NY 529 College Savings Plan

There are a lot of myths about NY529 college savings plan and I am happy that I was able to be educated at the NY529 event hosted by MomTrends. I got information about how to get started, what are the benefits and why do it.

What is a 529 College Savings Plan

    • It’s a type of investment account you can use for higher-education savings. 529 plans are usually sponsored by states.

With the rising costs of college tuition you want to have something set aside for your kids to help them not have to take out huge loans (when you graduate they want their money). Whether you or grandparents set it up a NY 529 plan helps you save money for your children.

One of my own misconceptions I had was that it can only be used at a 4 year institution and if your child does not attend college you lose the money. The truth is that your 529 account can be used to pay for qualified higher-education expenses at any eligible educational institution. Higher education expenses include tuition, books, supplies, equipment, computer equipment, and certain room and board fees. The 529 plan can you used at postsecondary, vocational schools, 2 and 4 year colleges and postgraduate programs.

What I also love is the fact that you can open up an account with as little as $1.00 and contribute as much or as little as you want. Contributions up to 10,000 are deductible from your taxes if married and single taxpayers 5,000. Are you worried if they want to attend school outside of NY they can’t use it? No problem because you can use the 529 plan in any other state.

There is really no reason not to set up a NYS 529 College Savings Plan. When birthdays and holidays come around instead of requesting toys, you can ask them to make a contribution to your account by sharing a special U gift code on Twitter or by email.

For more information about New York’s 529 College Savings Plan, obtain a Disclosure Booklet and Tuition Savings Agreement at or by calling 1-877-nysaves. This includes investment objectives, risks, charges, expenses and other information. You should read them carefully before investing.

    Review: Mazda MX-5 Grand Touring

Thanks to Mazda I was provided the 2019 Mazda MX-5 Grand Touring to test drive. As always, all opinions are my own.

Last month me and my husband celebrated our eleven year anniversary. We didn’t leave NYC we stayed local and decided to make it a date night. To celebrate we got to test out the 2019 Mazda Miata Grand Touring model. My husband wondered if we would be installing a supercharger, of course I declined that offer. This car is kid free proof, even though they wanted to come but it’s only a 2 seater (sorry kids). My 7 year old son said Mommy why drive such a small car like this. Because the car is so small it takes some getting use to but once you get over how everything around you is so big it’s smooth sailing.

We went to the Hip Hop Restaurant Beatstro which is a great restaurant for comfort food with a hip hop vibe (so glad we no longer have to travel to Manhattan for great food).

What makes this car so special that my husband loves is the sports car feel and the retractable rooftop. We took the car around the Bronx and received many compliments.

    Some of the specs include:

    • Push Button ignition
    • BOSE AM/FM 9 Speaker
    • 7″ Color touch-screen display
    • Advanced keyless entry system
    • Heated front seats
    • Rearview Camera

The price point of the Mazda MX-5 Grand Touring comes in at $34,410 (amazing price)!
