Mirror, Mirror on the wall who’s the fairest one of all?

You all remember that phrase from the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs but what if we switched that around…

God, O God the Sovereign God how strong is my walk with you? Do I remind you of the courage of Esther to save this nation from genocide. Do I have the warrior spirit of Deborah or do I have the betrayal spirit of Delilah? Let me use the gifts you have given like Dorcas she lived a unselfish and charitable life let me not only speak the word but through action give me the mind of Joanna who praised you after receiving physical restoration but as women I think we forget who we should really need to be looking to.

The world’s standards does not equal God’s standards so I want to remind you that we should not be looking at the world’s view of self but God’s view of self. The world says your depressed take this pill you should feel better soon but God says in Psalms 42:11, Why are you cast down, O my soul and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God. Your suicidal let us send you to this mental institution but God says 2 Peter 2:9 The Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials you feel worried let’s go to happy hour to lessen your worry with a bottle of rum but God says in Proverbs 12:25 Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.

I say all of this to say the world will never have the answers to your situations God has the answer be always has and he always will.
Stop comparing yourself to the world but what does God say about you? Everyday we should look to God and ask Lord how do I look to you today?
