1. Tell us a little about yourself.I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy with a true passion for helping women reinvent their health and lives!

2.What did it mean to you to win the title of Ms.NY? That was definitely one of those moments when you know your life will change. I’ll always be grateful to the pageant world because it helped to open a lot of doors for me. When I entered, I did not necessarily see how it would all fit into my life’s work, but now I know it was a stepping stone that brought me to where I am today. Pageants have always been a sport to me, and have good and bad aspects to them like anything else. Every young woman has to decide for herself what’s right for her life.

 3. What is most important to you? Following my passions and living my life with purpose. It sounds really simple, but for a long time I was like a robot, just going through the motions and living a life that others told me would make me happy. And like all foundations that are built on sand, it slowly started to crumble until I just could not ignore it anymore. While the process of starting over and reinventing myself was very painful at times, I’m so happy that I took those steps of faith forward because now I’m truly the woman I always wanted to be.

4. Tell us about Reinventing You. I love the word reinvent, because it means to change and there’s a lot of hope and power behind that word. A lot of times we want to change but we don’t know how and it can seem very overwhelming. Reinventing yourself is about setting one small goal and taking one step forward and going for it.
As women, while beauty products and clothes are great and can enhance our beauty, true beauty comes from within and that starts with good health. It’s not about being a certain size or weight, it’s about taking care of our emotional health, balancing out what foods we feed our bodies and being true to what our heart calls us to do with our lives.

5. As a Latina woman what words of encouragement would you give to empower girls? Make one of your mantras; Ask, Believe, Receive. Make another one; Dreams Don’t Work Unless I Do. If you want something, declare it and then go out and get busy. Yes it will be tough at times, and yes you will want to give up, but if it was possible for me, it’s possible for you too. I always want everyone to remain open for what God has in store for you. Your timeline might not match up with his, but trust me when I tell you it is better than you ever dreamed of. Lastly, we have all made mistakes and failures, as it’s part of the process. It’s not about the mistakes or failure though, its what you do afterwards that defines your life, so “sigue adelante” or keep moving forward!
