About the book

Inspired by thirty family heirloom quilts, each devotion depicts the enduring legacy of faith, family and tradition. Rich, personal sometimes heartbreaking, often funny, each reading provides a lesson and encouragement from the faithful women who crafted the quilts. Full-color photographs of each quilt show the style and artistry of each beautiful work. The quilts, sewn by several generations over more than one0hundred years, are as unique and lovely as the ads that created them, The oldest was buried during the Civil Way to keep it safe and the author’s mother created the newest in the last years of her life.

This book remind me of when I use to embroider and crochet with my grandmother. As we crochet together sometimes we would be in complete silence or we could talk about life we would laugh together, watch baseball games together so I truly appreciated this book. I love her honesty and encouraging words.

The author Ramona Richards gives us wonderful stories of faith, hope and love after each story she ends with a prayer and begins with a scripture. If you love heirlooms, I recommend this book.
