How many times have your heard someone say “church is boring” John Hambrick tackles the answer to that question. He points out that Jesus isn’t boring his life was busy, engaging, transformative so how come we get bored?
The answer is simple we are not busy enough telling others about Jesus.
Hambrick compares Christians as a team that practices for a game but never leave the locker room.
“When we Christians start to confuse the locket room with the game, things get boring”
Hambrick then poses discussion questions at the end of each chapter.
To move toward the mess could mean to get out your comfort zone maybe you are bored but fear won’t let you move. Move past your fear and move towards helping others.
If you are a follower of Christ we have to follow by his example we have to be in the trenches.
