Saving for retirement requires 15-25 years, so the sooner you get started, the better. This is financial self-care, and it’s just as important. And if you have debt, make a debt snowball plan to eliminate it as quickly as possible. 

  1. Get Stress Under Your Control

Regularly feeling overly stressed is not a healthy position to be in.

Some stress in life is inevitable, but there needs to be a balance to avoid too much cortisol from being released or developing hypertension.  

Actively find ways to reduce your stress. For difficult tasks, ask for help or train to be more capable to complete them. This way, they’ll no longer induce a stressful reaction. Also, take time to become calmer, because it places you in a better position to handle stressful situations.
